Like our October meeting, we thought it would be fun if many of you brought snacks again for this one! Share one (or more) passages with us that you love. We did this about a year ago and it was well-attended and great fun.
Is there something you read that was particularly memorable because it was beautifuly written? Maybe it made you teary-eyed, or frightened, or raised your heartbeat. Maybe you'd love to share this thing that moved you so much.
Maybe it wasn't great fiction - instead it was something you learned from a book about writing. You can share that as well.
Come with one to three passages to share. In general, you should be able to read one passage in 5 minutes or less. You should also come prepared to share a little about the passage before you read it, (the book it's from, and any setup required for us to understand it better). We'll probably also take some time to discuss the passage after. The 5 minutes only applies to the actual reading of the passage.
If after we go around the table, there's time left, we'll continue to the second and even third passages that you may have brought.
